What's a better place for a field trip than the farm?

Our class had a wonderful time at the farm!  We learned so much about farm life and colonial living.  The one room house, general store, and old schoolhouse/church were so neat to visit!  We also attended horse school, fed animals in the barn, and got a close look at a baby goat named Diego!

We also did a writing activity on Friday.  The writing prompt was, "I like Easter because..."  They did a WONDERFUL job!

 I like Easter because that's when we celebrate Jesus.

Track Meet

We had a great time at the HES track meet on Monday!  The class was so happy to cheer for our 3rd-5th grade friends!

"Wii with Mii"

Our great Principal and Assistant Principal have developed an AWESOME way to encourage and motivate success at our school.  Every other Friday, teachers are able to nominate a student to participate in the Wii with Mii club!  Students are able to play a half hour of Nintendo Wii with our administrators and other esteemed students!!  Check out these action shots!!

Jump Rope for Heart

We had such a great time at Jump Rope for Heart!  It was really fun to make money for the American Heart Association and exercise our own hearts at the same time!  A special thanks goes to the parents who came out and supported us!  Some even grabbed a jump rope and joined in the fun!
