Precious Pilgrims!

We had an amazing time at our Kindergarten Tasting Feast!  The K teachers made items that were served at the first Thanksgiving, and we tried them (well, some of us did)!  We ate venison, corn, beans, and cranberries.  Our class dressed as Pilgrims!

Many family members came to visit our Feast!  We love showing off for our families!!!

Living Things study & Ms. White!

Ms. White, our UAB student intern, did a wonderful job teaching us!  She taught lessons on community helpers, number sense, symmetry, and living things.  Check out the pictures below that showcase our learning about plants!
Some 5th Grade friends came over to show use their terrariums!  They had a water environment on the bottom and a land environment on top!

We showed the 5th graders our bean plants we've been caring for.

Here is our terrarium before we transplanted the bean plants.

We loved learning about living things!  Thanks for doing such a great job, Ms. White!
We will miss you!!

One of the highlights of the school year is Halloween Math Centers!  Parents, grandparents, and even Mr. Simpson come to run our special Halloween-themed math centers.  Thanks so much to our volunteers as well as those who sent in items for our special learning fun!
