I cannot believe it's already time to begin our Kindergarten year! To start us off, here is a tour of our classroom:
Around this sign, we will have LOTS of our best work displayed for the school to see!
Come on in!!!
This is the back corner of our classroom. This is where I keep our reading group materials and assessments. It also serves as my desk area.
This storage area is behind our reading table.
More storage! Most things in our room are labeled with a picture as well as text for easy identification at the beginning of the school year.
Everyone loves the computer center!
This is our cozy spot for the library center.
I really like these storage seats I made, thanks to a great Pinterest find! We will keep books that are kindergarten favorites inside the seat.
This board will soon hold some of our best work from science and social studies! The reading center pocket chart will help us find what reading center we go to daily, and the Venn diagram circles get lots of use during math time!
Our folders are stored here daily, and some of our developmental centers, like markers, blocks, and lacing beads stay below.
Here is our whole group area.
This is where we discuss calendar daily. The blue and yellow pocket chart is our Reading Focus Wall, which shows what skills we are working on each week.
Below is our math manipulatives storage. These are always a big hit!
The 4 math centers that are rotating for the week are kept in the green tubs. They are ready to be filled and used!!
Our Word Wall is held on the blinds! We use every inch of space we can! As we learn sight words, they are added to the wall.
Here are the books we have organized by either author, subject, or theme.
These books are AR books are are organized by level. Many of our students will begin taking AR comprehension tests this year!
This is the view from the back of our room.
Here is a view from the side.
And here's the view from the front!
I cannot wait to see you walk in on Thursday for Meet the Teacher Night!!
